SUMMARY

Analyze processes and develop solutions to improve production efficiencies in a variety of areas and in turn reduce associated costs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support all safety and ergonomic improvement projects.
  • Support cost reduction activities through process improvement, process modification, tooling modification, scrap reduction, equipment changes and material changes.
  • Develop and manage process improvement project portfolio
  • Apply analytical and statistical methods to identify, define and execute projects.
  • Create all necessary documentation, sketches and instructions.
  • Develop solutions for everyday production problems, improve efficiencies, reduce waste and improve overall plant functions.
  • Work directly with production team to develop and implement optimum methods and procedures.
  • Assist with new material trail and approval process.
  • Support and manage capital projects.
  • Responsible for startup of new products, production lines and tooling.
  • Establish and implement production process parameters and standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate operator and maintenance training for all required procedures and methods.
  • Prepare and present reports to management.
  • Support maintenance team through data analysis, problem solving, and equipment reliability projects.
  • Responsible for administration of CMMS system for completion and tracking of maintenance work orders.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical preferred). Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in industrial or mechanical engineering environment with back ground in maintenance. Exposure to CMMS, SPC, machine design and machine tool technology helpful. Auto CAD experience preferred. Must have effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
