Job description

JOB SUMMARY: It is the responsibility of the position to provide the necessary commercial and technical leadership to develop a strong business case and to create an executable gas processing plant project for GasTech and its customers. The key function of this position is to collaborate with the front-end team to ensure GasTech develops and presents a technically and commercially responsive proposal, as well as a satisfactory execution of the project deliverables. The other functions include but are not limited to managing the project deliverables, ensuring the project results meet the customer requirements, maintaining the project budgets and schedules within the project baselines, and mitigating the project risks through the entire lifecycle of the assigned projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead and guide the execution of all engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, field installation (if applicable), and scope changes from project award, to kick-off, through project execution lifecycle, and to field commissioning of gas processing projects.
  • Prepare and manage all technical, commercial, contractual and fabrication requirements, from project initiation to closeout, in accordance with GasTech internal processes and the project execution plan as established in the proposal phase or prior to the customer kick-off.
  • Continuously review the project deliverables for quality, accuracy, and safety.
  • Promote repeat customer business via consistent contact and relationship from proposal to project execution.
  • Support our business development team in their efforts to present technical and commercial details to potential clients by demonstrating professional, diplomatic, and articulate communication skills.
  • Contribute to the preparation of cost estimates (or prepare as required) to meet budgetary cost estimates and proposal requirements.
  • Supervise, and approve the release of all project documents including P&IDs, PFDs, 3D modeling for piping and construction layouts, and third-party vendor construction design packages.
  • Periodically participate in HAZOP and/or project status review meetings with customers.
  • Perform field trouble shooting, startup, commissioning and/or decommissioning efforts as required.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelors or Masters in an Engineering field (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree); or equivalent experience is required.
  • 12 to 15 years of relevant discipline experience as a project manager on multiple large capital projects is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in partnering with engineering, manufacturing and/or operations teams to execute large scale projects is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of gas processing projects and/or equipment, a Project Management Professional (PMP) License, and previous experience in an ISO 9001 environment is preferred.
  • The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.
  • The ability to remain organized with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills is required.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required.
  • The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.
  • The ability to remain organized with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills is required.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, is required. Familiar with P6 Scheduling is a plus.
