Job description

Our client is a growing general contractor based in Mount Prospect, IL, with an established reputation for delivering high-quality federal and commercial construction projects. As their project pipeline continues to expand, they are looking to add a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to their team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall project execution plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and assist with forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement effective solutions.


Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager within commercial construction.
  • Federal construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project management principles.
  • Experience managing project documentation, subcontractors, and client communications.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is preferred.
