MAJOR PURPOSE:

The SEO Specialist supports organic growth and search visibility for a portfolio of clients by assisting with the execution of data-driven SEO strategies. Working closely with senior team members, this role helps deliver actionable insights, execute technical and content optimizations, and ensure client deliverables meet high quality standards.

The ideal candidate combines a strong analytics foundation with a passion for search, helping troubleshoot site health, optimize content, and track performance metrics. As search evolves, this role offers hands-on experience with emerging trends, including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-driven search visibility.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Track and report on daily SEO KPIs using internal and external data tools
  • Assist with creating clear, actionable client reporting dashboards
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and search intent analysis to help guide client content strategy and on-page optimization
  • Optimize client web content following SEO best practices, including EEAT and YMYL guidelines
  • Assist with routine site audits to identify technical fixes, schema markup opportunities, and site health issues
  • Collaborate with client site developers to implement optimizations
  • Remain up to date with search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging search behaviors (including AI)
  • Support the execution of general and keyword-specific content strategies aligned with client goals.
Requirements CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
  • Strong ability to interpret data, identify performance shifts, and present actionable insights clearly
  • Practical familiarity with core SEO concepts, including schema markup, technical troubleshooting, and search intent optimization
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills for client deliverables and internal collaboration
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast paced team environment
  • A strong interest in digital marketing, web analytics, and staying ahead of evolving search engine trends
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 1+ years performing search engine optimization, preferably in an agency or multi-client environment
  • Working knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms (e.g., SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
  • Experience with dashboard and reporting tools such as Looker Studio
  • Exposure to GEO, AI search visibility, or A/B testing is a plus.
