Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization of Fuji Surface Mount Technology (SMT) automation equipment. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong technical aptitude who can deliver exceptional service to customers while representing company with professionalism and expertise.

What will you do Equipment Installation & Commissioning
  • Perform on-site installation, configuration, and startup of Fuji SMT automationsystems across North America.
  • Execute system retrofits, upgrades, and custom equipment modifications.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and process- related issues.
  • Provide advanced technical support both onsite and remotely, ensuring minimal customer downtime.
  • Collaborate with Fujiโ€™s technical teams to elevate and resolve advanced engineering issues.
Customer Training & Support
  • Deliver structured operator and maintenance training for customer personnel.
  • Advise customers on best practices for process optimization, preventive maintenance, and system efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Collect and analyze technical data for troubleshooting, reliability tracking, and process improvement.
  • Prepare clear, detailed service reports, documentation, and feedback to customers and Fuji management.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers and Fuji engineering departments.o Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) preferred.
  • Experience with Fuji SMT equipment strongly preferred; other SMT/automation equipment experience considered.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and mechatronic system diagrams.
  • Solid understanding of Windows-based operating systems, software installation, and system configuration.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and modern computing applications.
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a team environment.
