Job description

Overview

The Digital Analytics Specialist Intern supports the Digital team by helping collect, clean, organize, analyze, visualize and communicate data across W&SFG's websites, portals, and marketing channels activity. This internship is designed for a college junior or senior with foundational analytics coursework. The intern will assist with reporting, dashboard maintenance, KPI tracking, website/portal performance analysis, customer behavior analysis, and documentation of repeatable analytics processes. A core focus is learning how to responsibly integrate approved generative AI tools into analytics work to improve automation, efficiency, first-draft analysis, documentation and translate data into business-friendly insights. The intern is not expected to independently own analytics strategy, complex data architecture, tagging governance or final business recommendations. Work will be completed under guidance and reviewed by experienced team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with digital performance analysis across websites, portals, and marketing channels activity.
  • Collect, clean, organize and validate data used in recurring dashboards, KPI sheets, reports and performance summaries.
  • Maintain and improve dashboards in Power BI, Excel, GA4, BigQuery and related reporting tools.
  • Responsibly use approved GenAI tools to draft first-pass SQL, DAX, formulas, report logic, QA checks and data summaries.
  • Identify recurring reporting, documentation, QA and communication workflows that can be streamlined through approved automation or GenAI-assisted methods.
  • Create first-draft insights from dashboards and datasets, translating trends, anomalies and performance changes into plain-language observations.
  • Support SEO, campaign, content, testing and conversion analysis by summarizing results and identifying potential improvement opportunities.
  • Document KPI definitions, dashboard instructions, data sources, report logic, assumptions and responsible GenAI usage practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Current college junior or senior pursuing a degree in data analytics, business analytics, marketing analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics or a related field.
  • Foundational coursework or project experience in data analysis, business intelligence, marketing analytics, statistics, databases, dashboards or data visualization.
  • Exposure to one or more tools such as Power BI, Excel, GA4, BigQuery, SQL, Python, R or similar analytics platforms.
  • Interest in responsibly using approved GenAI tools to improve analytics productivity, automation, first-draft analysis, documentation and business communication; coursework, project use, prompt development or demonstrated curiosity preferred.
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics, KPIs, website performance, customer behavior and performance reporting.
  • Strong curiosity, attention to detail, communication skills, professional judgment and ability to learn quickly, follow direction, validate work and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
