Freeport, TX
We are looking for a Chemical Loader Intern to join our BASF team in Freeport, TX.

Program Summary:
You will participate in a chemical loader internship program at BASF's Freeport site: 602 Copper Road, Freeport, TX 77541.
  • The internship will allow the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience.
  • You will help complete various loading activities which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to work shift schedule while following a BASF Chemical Loader.
  • Successful candidates will be employed though a 3rd party contractor for the length of the Internship.
  • Interns who complete BASF's Chemical Loader internship program may be considered as candidates for upcoming open full-time positions at the site.
  • You will unload inbound raw materials and load outbound finished goods across multiple modes: truck, rail, marine, totes, drums, etc.
  • You will perform rail switching activities, including operating a railcar mover, groundman for switching activities, operating a rail switch, and crossing guard function.
  • You will provide troubleshooting of equipment prior to maintenance involvement and identify and communicate when maintenance work is needed.
