Business Process Analyst – Mission Operations Support
Bethesda, MD
Full Time | On Site

Join Synertex LLC and bring your expertise to a mission that matters. We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to support operational teams in a high-tempo Intelligence Community mission environment.

In this role, you will support business process analysis, requirements gathering, workflow improvement, and operational documentation aligned to mission objectives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in developing SOPs, process maps, swim lanes, RACI matrices, and leadership-ready documentation.

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities
  • Document and maintain business processes using SOPs, process maps, swim lanes, RACI matrices, checklists, and other process documentation tools.
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with mission and operations stakeholders to identify needs, problems, desired end states, and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Facilitate process governance by coordinating reviews, gathering SME input, routing documentation for approval, and maintaining version control.
  • Ensure documentation is properly published, stored, managed, and maintained in secure designated repositories.
  • Prepare read-aheads, capture decisions, and manage action items for internal meetings, standing boards, and leadership reviews.
  • Support tool and workflow development initiatives by coordinating stakeholder inputs, documenting changes, supporting testing and demonstrations, and updating SOPs and user guidance.
  • Maintain organized and discoverable records of process products, decisions, deliverables, knowledge bases, and continuity materials.
  • Ensure adherence to information handling, data protection, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues to leadership through action tracking and governance mechanisms.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business process analysis, operations support, program support, or a related field.
  • Strong experience creating professional process documentation, including SOPs, RACI matrices, process maps, swim lanes, workflow diagrams, and checklists.
  • Experience gathering requirements and facilitating working sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and provide actionable process improvement recommendations.
  • Experience managing action trackers, preparing leadership-ready written products, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced mission environments.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and documentation platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Strong communication, organization, coordination, and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting operational teams in a mission-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting tool or workflow development cycles, including requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, testing, demonstrations, and user guidance updates.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance standards for information handling in secure mission environments.
  • Certifications in process improvement, business analysis, or related fields, such as Six Sigma, BPMP, or CBAP.
