Position Overview
Fathom Management is seeking a Senior IT Process Consultant / Senior Business Analyst to support a high-visibility Federal Government IT modernization initiative in Crystal City, VA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Federal Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, IT Process Consultant, or Business Process Analyst who enjoys working with government stakeholders, program leadership, PMO teams, and technical organizations to improve processes and deliver practical IT solutions.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in requirements analysis, business process improvement, process mapping, PMO support, and stakeholder engagement.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead requirements gathering and stakeholder working sessions.
  • Develop process maps, workflows, requirements, BRDs, functional specifications, and related documentation.
  • Support PMO activities, including project tracking, governance, reporting, risks/issues, and executive communications.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
  • Support Agile/Scrum development and implementation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support IT modernization and transformation.
  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations, reports, and decision-support materials.
  • Partner with Federal stakeholders and leadership to ensure solutions align with mission objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of Federal Government Business Analysis experience.
  • Experience supporting Federal IT modernization or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong requirements gathering and analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated business process analysis, process mapping, and process improvement experience.
  • PMO/project coordination and documentation experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Agile / Scrum / SAFe
  • Federal Government or Department of Justice environments
