THE ROLE

The Manager of the EHR Integration Team is a critical leadership role with direct oversight of the EHR Integration team consisting of EHR Integration Leads and Associates. This role ensures the efficient and effective delivery of customer integrations, drives improvements to key performance metrics such as time-to-first value and integration NPS, and champions continuous process improvements. This role will partner heavily with leadership and cross-functional peers in platform implementations, project management, customer success, sales, and product. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership, technical, project management, and customer engagement skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  • Manage, mentor, and support the EHR Integration Team, fostering professional growth.
  • Ensure appropriate team capacity planning and scheduling to support new integrations and conversions.
  • Oversee performance of Time to First Value and NPS KPIs, implementing strategies to achieve continuous improvement.

CUSTOMER DELIVERY OVERSIGHT

  • Provide guidance and support for complex EHR Integration projects, including EHR conversions, serving as an escalation point for risks and issues. This may include directly leading certain integrations due to team capacity or project complexity.
  • Monitor progress across all EHR integrations, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Oversee the installation, validation, troubleshooting, and ongoing health of FHIR applications across the customer base.
  • Maintain and update resources in the CRM and project management tools to support team and customer needs.

PROCESS & TOOL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Lead initiatives to optimize integration workflows, documentation, and tools.
  • Establish scalable processes for managing multiple simultaneous integrations while ensuring consistent quality.
  • Regularly report team performance metrics, capacity, and project statuses to PatientIQ leadership.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Sales, Customer Success) to ensure seamless customer journey experience and scoping.
  • Enhance the sales-to-integration and integration-to-Customer Success handoff process for improved efficiency and information quality.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer on EHR integration topics, synthesizing patterns from active integrations and surfacing actionable feedback to the Product team.
  • Stay current on EHR interoperability trends to inform customer conversations and internal process improvements.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Leadership Experience: 4+ years leading and supporting healthtech SaaS integrations.
  • Industry Background: Experience in a growth-stage SaaS company or in a similar capacity within a larger organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience with HL7 and FHIR integration standards, EHR platforms (e.g. Epic, Athena, Meditech), and integration middleware or engines. Comfortable working directly with health system IT teams on technical scoping, validation, and troubleshooting. Experience with data ingestion pipelines, API interfaces, and database tools (SQL) is a plus.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple team members and projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Strong ability to manage day-to-day tasks while maintaining a strategic view of customer and team needs.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams across PatientIQ.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Tools: Familiarity with CRM and project management systems and tools for tracking customer interactions, knowledge management, report and dashboard creation, and support tickets.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Experience in patient reported outcomes.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in managing healthcare provider or enterprise customer implementations.
  • Pre-Sales Experience: Familiarity with technical pre-sales scoping for EHR integrations, including setting integration expectations with prospective customers during the sales cycle.
