Area Continuous Improvement Leader – Advanced Performance Materials (APM)

Position located at Washington Works Plant, Parkersburg, WV, reporting directly to the Sr. Value Stream Leader.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage the Chemours Business System to enhance employee engagement and accelerate continuous improvement in operational excellence, including safety and environmental performance.
  • Drive Lean culture adoption through standard work, KPI management, 5S, and other tools.
  • Develop and maintain a 3‑year improvement strategy aligned with profitability and TCOM/competitiveness targets, coordinating with capital project and prioritization stakeholders.
  • Integrate data analytics, agile methodologies, and digitalization initiatives to support improvement activities.
  • Lead ideation sessions, define milestones, and monitor progress for area improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and coordination for cross‑functional project teams.
  • Analyze and report progress against key milestones; maintain dashboards and KPI metrics.
  • Mentor and grow a continuous‑improvement culture within the area.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with demonstrated leadership in process improvement and cross‑functional initiative execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to extract and summarize key concepts from complex sources.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Background in data analytics integration, dashboarding, and digitalization of manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Lean Practitioner certification.
  • Black Belt certification.
