Position Summary...At Sam's Club, our supply chain is critical to delivering the products our members need, when and where they need them. As a Manager, Process Improvement, you'll play a key role in driving end-to-end supply chain performance and execution by helping our supply chain network operate more efficiently, reliably, and effectively. You'll analyze operational data, identify opportunities to improve processes across distribution, fulfillment and transportation, and develop sustainable solutions that drive measurable business results.
In this role, you'll partner with leaders across supply chain and key business functions to simplify complex processes, improve operational execution, reduce inefficiencies, and support strategic initiatives that strengthen our end-to-end supply chain. You'll help drive transformational change across the business, using data-driven insights to influence decisions and improve outcomes for our members and associates. Success in this role requires someone who is curious, learns quickly, thinks critically, and influences cross-functional partners to drive meaningful business outcomes. What you'll do...Develop Supply Chain Initiatives and Processes
  • Drive business goals by analyzing operational and supply chain data to identify gaps, bottlenecks, emerging risks, and opportunities across distribution, fulfillment and transportation.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance operational performance, service levels, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Lead Process Improvement Programs
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain and key business functions, including Merchandising, Club Operations, eCommerce, Finance, and Technology to develop solutions that simplify processes, improve execution, and drive alignment across the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Establish performance metrics and monitor results to ensure initiatives deliver sustainable business outcomes.
Drive Operational Excellence and Change
  • Lead transformational projects that improve how products move through the Sam's Club supply chain network.
  • Translate business priorities into executable plans by developing implementation plans, managing stakeholder alignment, coordinating dependencies, and supporting the adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working.
Support Network Performance
  • Evaluate current operational processes and identify opportunities to improve throughput, efficiency, product flow, and service to clubs and members.
  • Use data, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving to solve complex operational challenges and eliminate recurring issues.
Develop Strategies and Best Practices
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop scalable processes, operational standards, and best practices that support long-term supply chain growth.
  • Translate analytical findings into practical business recommendations that improve performance across the network.
Promote Compliance and Integrity
  • Ensure initiatives align with company policies, operational standards, and ethical business practices.
What You'll Bring:
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Passion for improving operational performance and driving efficiency within complex supply chain environments. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and managing projects from concept through implementation within a matrixed organization.
  • Analytical Expertise : Strong ability to use data to identify opportunities, develop business cases, perform root cause analysis, connect insights across multiple business functions, and measure impact. Experience with operational and supply chain performance metrics is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated success solving complex business and operational challenges with practical, scalable solutions that improve member and business outcomes.
  • Learning Agility: Ability to quickly understand new concepts, navigate ambiguity, synthesize information from multiple sources, and develop practical solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Supply Chain Experience Preferred: Experience supporting distribution centers, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, network optimization, supply chain strategy or related supply chain function is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in project management, business strategy, or consulting. Alternatively, 4 years' experience in a related area will be considered.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
