Your role and responsibilities
As a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you'll help organizations solve complex business challenges, unlock new growth opportunities, and create long-term value through strategic transformation and innovation.
As part of our Enterprise & Industry Strategy practice, you'll work with clients to reimagine business models, improve performance, enhance customer and employee experiences, and navigate evolving market dynamics. No two projects are exactly alike-you could support organizations across healthcare, financial services, public sector, federal sector, automotive, energy, retail, industrial, or manufacturing industries.
Work side-by-side with experienced strategists, consultants, data specialists, AI practitioners, and business leaders to solve real-world challenges. Through mentorship, career coaching, certifications, AI-enabled consulting, and hands-on client experiences, you'll develop the skills needed to grow into a future consulting leader.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of business strategy, market analysis, business operations, organizational performance, or transformation concepts.
• Ability to analyze complex business problems, evaluate data, identify trends, and develop structured recommendations.
• Exposure to strategy, business analysis, consulting, research, analytics, transformation, or process improvement initiatives through coursework, projects, internships, case competitions, or student organizations.
• Understanding of how technology, data, Artificial Intelligence, and digital transformation are reshaping industries and business models.
• Ability to communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and business audiences through presentations, reports, or collaborative projects.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, automation, and digital transformation, and a desire to continuously learn and grow throughout your career.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Exposure to business strategy, management consulting, market research, business transformation, or innovation-related projects through academic, personal, or internship experiences.
• Familiarity with business analytics, financial analysis, data visualization, process improvement, or strategic planning concepts.

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
