To help close the critical 80% nutrition gap by making it easier for Americans to eat more fruits, veggies, and dairy as part of their daily lives.The company has headquarters in Chicago and New York City and operates 4 manufacturing plants in Little Chute, WI; Brookings, SD; Traverse City, MI; and Nampa, ID.#IWorkForAllForGood Job Summary:The Project Engineer is responsible for the creating, justifying, coordinating, execution and proper installation and completion of capital projects, ensuring adherence to project timeline and budgets.The Project Engineer is responsible to coordinate the work of contractors, ensuring behaviors related to safety/food safety and quality of work align with Materne expectations.Job Responsibilities & Tasks:Implement and manage the validated projects from inception to completion.Study and define new projects as the need arises and as they are assigned to the site.Develop project plan timelines and lead cross functional work groups to complete projects within specification, on time and on budget, while also ensuring safety and food safety practices are followed.Maintain plant AutoCAD drawing files and make updates as needed.Provide conceptual engineering drawings as requested.Maintain a record of the status of all active projects.Maintain/update technical documentation.Follow CER, PO and OOP process.Manage and oversee contractor compliance with safety practices, site security requirements, GMP requirements and quality of work.Be the site expert on assigned processes, providing trouble shooting capability as well as recommendations for improvement.Works with technical services to help creating operational procedures, procedures and strategies for preventative and predictive maintenance and adjustment sequences for new industrial equipment.Help to identify the "optimized base case" in regards to ROI calculationsWork with Quality and Safety leadership to ensure that their needs are met within the implementation of projects.Work with plant teams and corporate engineering teams as necessary on projects.Manage final qualification for capital projects and supplier relationshipsExecute the process to get competitive bids when applicable.Complete the "to-do" list and enforce the corrective action plan, including warranty work with suppliers.Oversee and manage the on-site project installation/construction.Ensure completion of the contractor safety and GMP training for all people brought on-site to work on projects and enforce these standards with contractors.All other duties as assignedKey Performance Indicator (KPI):Project completed under Budget Project completed on timePosition Requirements:EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Engineering.EXPERIENCE3+ years of capital project management on Pre-Process and Process EquipmentSKILLSStrong technical skills related to Process Equipment (Dairy Process or similar).Strong technical skills related to project management.Demonstrated knowledge and skill using 2D & 3D CAD programs.Preferred experience in Solidworks and AutoCAD.Strong ability to read prints and understand electrical, architectural, mechanical, P&ID aspects.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with contractors, vendors, and internal customers to ensure completion of projects on time and within budget.Ability to work independently and with limited direction.Team-oriented mentalityKnowledge of related local, federal and state regulations.Strong competences in one or more of these technical categories:Mixproof valves, vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, pumpsData collection management SCADA, HMI.Food Pre-processes, processes & Packing equipmentBuilding (Civil works, HVAC systems, fire suppression, architectural, Plumbing& Mechanical, structural).Low voltage electrical circuitsPHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSMust be able work in normal office conditions and in the manufacturing plant.Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment and comply with GMP standards including safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair/beard net and other requirements.Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, adapt his time base on project & work over weekend when needed.Bel Brands is an equal employment opportunity employer.
