In this role, you will play a critical part in building and leading the ID1 process engineering teams for PVD and CVD. You will hire and develop new engineers, establish training pipelines, and partner closely with global manufacturing fabs to ensure a smooth transition to high-volume manufacturing in Boise. Your leadership will directly impact safety, capability, and long-term manufacturing success.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead the F4 HVM PVD/CVD process engineering teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing development to create a high-performing, inclusive organization
  • Define and implement team strategy, performance targets, and succession plans aligned to factory goals, ensuring clear accountability and strong operating rhythms
  • Lead and develop the team to deliver sustained yield improvement through structured problem solving, data-driven decision making, and disciplined process optimization across PVD/CVD
  • Establish clear expectations and systems for yield performance, enabling the team to identify gaps, prioritize top losses, and consistently deliver against factory yield targets
  • Drive adoption of Micron's Agentic AI, GenAI, and advanced analytics tools to accelerate defect learning, improve process control, and enhance engineering productivity
  • Establish team capability in data analysis, automation, and AI-assisted decision making, ensuring scalable and repeatable approaches to manufacturing optimization
  • Provide technical leadership and direction for process qualification, yield ramp, and alignment to high-volume manufacturing requirements
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Micron safety standards, values, and people policies

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering field
  • Senior Engineer level or higher with prior people leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct films experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Proven experience leading teams and getting results across complex projects
  • Strong technical communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building and scaling new teams or manufacturing areas
  • Background supporting high-volume manufacturing ramp or fab start-up with demonstrated yield improvement impact
  • Experience applying AI/GenAI, advanced analytics, or automation tools to semiconductor process optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across global organizations
  • Experience presenting technical topics to senior leaders or large audiences
