About the Role
Essity Health and Medical Solutions is currently seeking a Process Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Manchester, CT.

What You Will Do
  • Drive Process Excellence: Design, monitor, and continuously improve manufacturing processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data-driven methodologies.
  • Own Standards & Stability: Define, implement, and sustain robust process settings, standards, and systems that ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Lead Innovation & Development: Support new product and material development through Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and lead successful project implementation.
  • Analyze & Improve: Conduct deep root cause analysis (RCA) to solve complex process and equipment issues-turning insights into sustainable solutions.
  • Optimize Performance: Identify and implement improvements that increase equipment uptime, reduce cycle times, and boost overall efficiency.
  • Be the Technical Expert: Lead small group initiatives, provide expert guidance in your area, and close critical technical gaps.
  • Coach & Develop Teams: Train and mentor operations teams, building capability and reinforcing best practices and standards.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Contribute to key pillars including Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), and Focused Improvement (FI) to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering strongly preferred or significant experience in an engineering role.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (Manufacturing/Assembly Engineering, Quality) Strong background in process engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement
  • Experience with SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies
  • Proven ability to solve problems using data and structured analysis
  • Passion for coaching teams and driving behavioral and cultural change
  • A mindset focused on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 preferred.
  • Understanding of Gamma and/or EO sterilization preferred
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing/assembly activities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects.
  • Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.

Compensation and Benefits:
Expected Compensation:
$75,000 - $90,000/annual salary range + annual incentive bonus + benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
