Overview

Manages a team of engineers, designers, and drafters/detailers working across multiple industries including Telecom, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Semiconductor, Retail, Technology, and others. Responsible for setting technical direction, managing deliverables, defining engineering processes and achieving revenue and expense objectives. Resolves customer problems and contributes to customer satisfaction. Represents assigned areas to sales leadership and company management, while building strong relationships with clients and internal partners. Grows and develops engineering talent while ensuring delivery excellence.


Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Execution

  • Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes
  • Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and engineering processes
  • Oversees the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects
  • Reviews and approves project designs and technical deliverables
  • Maintains a high level of expertise within their engineering discipline or industry sector
  • Ensures engineering processes meet quality, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines
  • Identifies, tracks, and mitigates technical and project risks
  • Maintains uptodate knowledge of technology advancements and industry trends


People Management & Team Development

  • Directs and supervises engineers, technicians, and support staff
  • Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel
