Job Title: Production Technology Engineer

Report to: Production Technology Manager

Job Type: Full Time Employee, Non-Exempt

Location: Gainesville, GA


SUMMARY:

 

The Production Technology Engineer is responsible for managing pilot production processes, production routing, and production version control to ensure efficient and stable manufacturing operations. This role supports new product introduction (NPD), process optimization, and continuous quality improvement.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

• Set up and manage pilot production processes in alignment with NPD requirements.
 • Establish pilot production evaluation criteria and specifications.
 • Conduct labor and time analysis for new products.
 • Prepare and submit pilot production completion reports.
 • Finalize and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
 • Manage initial production flow and scheduling activities.
 • Propose process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and quality.
 • Review product technology requirements for capital investment projects.
 • Lead raw material and packaging material substitution and improvement initiatives.
 • Create, update, and maintain production routings (single and mass creation).
 • Monitor and control routing changes and perform routing inquiries.
 • Create and update production versions and maintain version accuracy.
 • Record pilot production labor data and manage material issuance for pilot runs.
 • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and safety standards.




QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
 • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or production technology.
 • Experience with NPD and pilot production management preferred.
 • Strong analytical and process documentation skills.
 • Proficiency in ERP/MES systems and routing management preferred.
 • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
 • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
 • Bilingual in English and Korean preferred.4+ years of experience in facility or equipment maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.

• Able to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

 • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work.

 • Good teamwork and communication skills.

 • Bilingual in English and Korean preferred.


REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Interest in cake manufacturing functions and production processes 
  • Ability to support quality improvement activities for cake products, including cream, and provide basic technical guidance on the production floor 
  • Basic understanding of general cake and bakery manufacturing processes 
  • Ability to check and follow work instructions, SOPs, and production conditions 
  • Ability to perform basic quality checks on batter condition, specific gravity, and baking condition preferred 
  • Ability to record production data and test results accurately 
  • Strong communication skills with production floor employees and related departments 
  • Basic Excel and documentation skills 
  • Willingness to identify root causes of product and equipment issues and support improvement activities 
  • English communication skills preferred, at a level suitable for communication in a U.S. manufacturing environment
