Job description

Senior Director of Process Engineering – Overview

CHG Healthcare is the leading physician‑staffing firm in the United States, serving millions of patients each year. We partner with doctors to match them with the right patient care opportunities and are looking for a Senior Director of Process Engineering to drive AI‑enabled technology solutions across our sales ecosystem.

Location & Travel

This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT with flexible remote options for candidates across the United States. Regular travel to CHG offices and division sites may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end process design and documentation for AI‑enabled technology solutions before development and launch.
  • Partner with sales divisions to achieve full alignment on future‑state process architecture and operating models.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into detailed process requirements that guide technology roadmaps.
  • Establish process governance frameworks and change‑management protocols to ensure sustainable adoption.
  • Serve as the central orchestrator among business operations, sales SMEs, Lean, and DMO teams.
  • Build relationships with division leaders to understand operational context, pain points, and strategic priorities.
  • Drive consensus and executive buy‑in on process standards, technology decisions, and implementation timelines.
  • Lead process workshops and design sessions with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Translate AI capabilities into practical business process applications that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Design processes that optimize for AI‑native workflows, automation opportunities, and intelligent decision support.
  • Partner with technology teams to convert process requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
  • Monitor AI solution performance against process objectives and iterate based on data‑driven insights.
  • Manage a team of sales subject‑matter experts (initially 2 direct reports, with growth potential).
  • Potentially assume leadership of the business operations team as organizational needs evolve.
  • Build process‑engineering capabilities across Strategic Operations and embedded partner teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data‑driven decision making, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Deep experience in business process engineering and cross‑functional alignment on complex technology initiatives.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI applications in sales or operations environments.
  • Proven strategic thinking combined with pragmatic execution capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, build consensus, and translate complex business challenges into clear process solutions.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable white‑boarding future‑state architectures with division presidents and detailed process mapping with frontline teams.
  • Understanding that technology is an enabler, not the solution itself, with emphasis on sustainable transformation.
Preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or custom implementations).
  • Background in sales operations, revenue operations, or go‑to‑market process design.
  • Experience in healthcare, professional services, or staffing industries.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt).
  • Track record of building and scaling high‑performing process or operations teams.
Benefits
  • Competitive pay range of $163,700–$316,500 annually, varying by location.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Traditional medical and dental coverage, onsite health centers, corporate wellness programs and free behavioral health appointments.
  • Flexible work schedules, including work‑from‑home options.
  • Recognition programs with rewards including trips, cash, and paid time off.
  • Family‑friendly benefits: paid parental leave, fertility coverage, adoption assistance, marriage counseling.
  • Tailored training resources including free LinkedIn Learning courses.
  • Volunteer time off and employee‑driven matching grants.
  • Tuition reimbursement program.
