Description
The Process Engineer I ensures Process Engineering Standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The Process Engineer I has a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables which affect product quality. The Process Engineer I reports to the Process Engineering Manager.
Essential Job Duties
• Own and back-up a limited number of processes.
• Support Operations with process, equipment, instruction, material, and part number challenges.
• Own daily root cause analysis on failures, and corrective and preventative actions.
• Fully document Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans, Risk Mitigations, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements. Photo and video-based instructions are desired.
• Write assembly instructions for part numbers as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional improvements.
• Own small projects.
• Support audits and customer visits.
• Maintain and improve process controls and process capability.
• Corroborate with and travel to other AFS factories, to grow knowledge.
• Provide occasional evening and weekend phone support.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's of Science degree in an engineering field: manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial, or similar studies.
Experience and/or Training
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Experienced with Minitab.
• Experience with SPC, Lean Manufacturing implementation, Theory of Constraints or Cell Manufacturing
Technology/Equipment
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Travel
• Up to 5%
