Department Summary:
The Production Manager oversees cell crews engaged in the finishing and assembly of composite tooling, metallic tooling, and production parts. Responsibilities include assembly, finishing, metrology, and preparing tooling assemblies for shipment. A strong commitment to quality, operational efficiency, and process excellence is essential. Exceptional people management skills are critical for this role, including the ability to lead personnel across multiple shifts while fostering clear communication and collaboration across organizational boundaries and disciplines. The Production Manager must lead by example, maintaining a positive attitude and cultivating a productive work environment. Goals and expectations should be emphasized through effective management techniques, including positive reinforcement and constructive feedback, to drive team performance and achieve organizational objectives
Roles & Responsibilities:
The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Manager:
  • Provides strategic plans to optimize scheduling and productivity
  • Leads and directs teams, ensuring efficiency and collaboration
  • Interface and work with Project Teams to support scheduling requirements and priorities
  • Estimates production timelines and staffing needs to support management decisions
  • Analyzes workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, ensuring adequate resources are available
  • Identifies improvement opportunities, implementing cross-training for a more capable and well-rounded team
  • Ensures the processes and procedures are executed in accordance with project management guidelines
  • Collaborates with Project managers and Process Engineers to identify and mitigate risks
  • Conducts on-the-job training, including AS9100, Nadcap, and other necessary programs
  • Takes responsibility for maintaining tool inventory and availability within the cell and ensures accountability from individual employees
  • Ensures WO's and proper quantities of materials, components, and tools are available before a project begins
  • Prepares and delivers reports for operations management as required
  • Reviews previous cell documentation to ensure completeness before proceeding
  • Ensures documentation of processes accomplished by work cell is complete, accurate, and timely including recording NCMR, part tagging and routing
  • Audits and reviews work packets with technicians throughout project activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must have 3-5 years specialized training after high school or equivalent on-the-job training particular to job description
  • Must have 1-3 years related job experience
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic machining experience including cutter identification, feeds and speeds and maintenance.
  • Must be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and procedures
  • Must be able to rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must have good communication and teambuilding skills.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products, SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Detailed Wage Information
Wage range for this role is between $35 - $65 per hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
