SUMMARY:
Develop and implement process and safety procedures in a production environment. Provide leadership and technical support for the efficient operation of the department.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 11:00PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Support process development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
    • Assist and train equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
    • Conduct root cause analysis on process and quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
    • Document process parameters, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment.
    • Provide technical support during process pilots, run to rates, and new product launches.
    • Maintain accurate records of process data, downtime, and maintenance activities.
    • Participate in safety, quality, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
    • Maintain knowledge of production processes and related systems..
    • Recommend product or process improvement strategies.
    • Monitor production data such as scrap levels, machine down time, and defects.
    • Provide basic training for team members.
    • May assist training staff in developing training programs.
    • Participate in production improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor variance and yields and take necessary action to correct or resolve discrepancies.
    • Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
    • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
    • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree, or military training, in related technical field. Minimum of 2 years technical degree or 3 years experience as engineering technician. Ability to operate department machines and knowledge of production processes are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to develop and deliver effective training to individuals or small groups of team members. Good writing skills needed to write processes and training guidelines. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to direct the work efforts of other team members. Aptitude to learn electrical and/or mechanical skills. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Basic math skills. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. Ability to operate forklift, pallet mover, or hoist equipment. Forklift certification may be required.
