Job description

Job Title: Process Engineer
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Global Process Engineer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Division: 100
Pay Range Starts at" $60,000.00 Annually
Summary: Coordinates, trains, executes and assists in the development and implementation of all Lean Manufacturing initiatives by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares any and all reports required to communicate status on projects, cost of quality, meeting minutes
Participates and assists in all LEAN, 5S, Value Stream Mapping initiatives.
Manages projects to project plan and timeline.
Works with and through all level managers/employees in affected areas.
Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant management to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Develops and implements Lean Manufacturing training programs.
Interprets and Presents Lean philosophy to key personnel within Company.
Responds to inquiries regarding Lean manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Initiatives and quality.
Responsible for keeping all personnel aware and updated of any changes to Lean manufacturing techniques.
Ability to make necessary changes immediately concerning Lean/Quality issues.
Develops, implements and modifies current Lean/Quality programs to focus on areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedure within the program.
Plans, Coordinates and Facilitates necessary meetings to ensure all procedures and practices are followed.
Ensures all areas and personnel are trained and are up to 5S and Lean standards.
Tracks, analyzes and reports the quality/cost improvements and advises management of any areas that need assistance.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing; spreadsheet software; inventory software; design software; order processing systems; project management software; Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Green or Black belt in Lean or Six Sigma
