Job description

Manufacturing Process Engineer

Design, budget, implement, and optimize new and existing manufacturing processes to maintain equipment and systems for optimal performance and compliance.

Analyze production yields and workflows to identify bottlenecks, developing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment malfunctions, process failures, or product defects, utilizing operational excellence tools to drive improvements. Manage the Maintenance team, ensuring proper training, resource allocation, and schedule adherence while developing preventative/predictive maintenance programs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new technologies or process refinements, managing relationships with contractors and vendors. Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance quality, mentoring and training cross-functional team members.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field.

4+ years of experience in food plant engineering, process engineering, or related manufacturing roles.

Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, FDA regulations related to the food processing industry.

Experience with GFSI and SQF guidelines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CAD, and Minitab.

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.
