Job description

Infinity Engineering Consultants is seeking candidates for a full time Mechanical Engineer position for industrial and commercial projects in the New Orleans and/or Baton Rouge areas. Candidate must have a background in design of industrial facilities, such as petrochemical processing plants. Experience in project management is preferred. Experience in the design of municipal facilities and commercial buildings, including HVAC and Plumbing, is a plus.

Qualified candidates should have a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, PE license required, 8-20 years of engineering experience, great communication skills, a positive attitude, and the desire to excel.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of design packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of industrial projects, including oversight of drawing development and the writing of technical specifications.
  • Development of piping and instrument diagrams, instrument and valve sizing and specification, relief valve studies, pump and pipe sizing.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Internal project management, including the coordination of design activities, coordination with other disciplines, monitoring budgets and resources.
