What you will be responsible for:
We are seeking a dynamic Lean Product Launch/Process Engineer to lead new product introduction (NPI) initiatives and provide ongoing support for lean process development. This role focuses on facilitating the optimization of production processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring seamless cross-functional product launches. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement and field teams to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and uphold the highest standards of quality throughout the product lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
Product Launch and New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Facilitate the development and selection of new advancements to our current product and future products
  • Lead the integration of new products into manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet design, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Perform prototyping, iterative testing, and feedback analysis to refine products and processes.
  • Facilitate product changes and transitions across manufacturing and field operations, maintaining a seamless workflow.

Process Optimization and Lean Implementation
  • Assist in analyzing current manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help streamline operations and reduce waste using lean principles.
  • Optimize material flow and inventory management to achieve cost savings and enhance productivity.

Continuous Improvement and Team Collaboration
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve production challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Train manufacturing and field staff on new processes and lean methodologies to ensure compliance and adaptability.

Performance Measurement and Documentation
  • Help establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, labor efficiency, production speed, and material utilization.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for product launches, process changes, and improvement projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Technology and Compliance
  • Benchmark, evaluate and recommend advanced technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities and automation.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies across all processes.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in NPI, process engineering, or lean manufacturing within a production environment.
  • Proven expertise in applying lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and Agile principles to improve operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with CAD systems, manufacturing software, and process mapping tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and train staff effectively.
  • Experience with Jira or Agile project management is a plus.
  • Experience in off-site construction or modular building a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
