Job Description:

TheProcessEngineer, Assembly & Test owns andoptimizesassembly and electrical test equipment,usedinthe manufacturing of high-performing probe cards,to ensure safety, quality, and delivery (SQD) targets. Driveuptime,yield, andthroughputby applying structured troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, and data-driven continuous improvement aligned withFormFactorprocesses.

Key Responsibilities:

1)ProcessOwnership & Reliability

  • Serve asprocessowner for assignedassembly/test tools(e.g., precision alignment stations,adhesives/epoxy dispense, curing ovens, bonders, electrical test stands/handlersand laser cutting).

  • Author and updatestandard work(setup, qualification, operation) andmaintenance work instructions.

2) Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis

  • Apply5 Whys,Ishikawa, pareto analysis, and fault isolation to resolveequipment,fixture,sensor, andsoftwarePLC/HMIissues.

  • Executecontainmentand implementcorrective/preventive actions (CAPA); verify effectiveness via run charts and capability checks (e.g.,Cpk, GR&R for measurement systems).

3) Process Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner withEquipmentEngineeringto ensure equipmentmeets process windows(adhesive deposition, cure profiles, alignment tolerances, electrical test limits).

  • Propose and implementlow-cost automation,poke-yokefixtures, recipe optimizations, anderror-proofing.

  • Participate inDOEandqualification(IQ/OQ/PQ) for equipment changes, capture learnings in theequipment history log.

4) Data & Documentation

  • Trackuptime,yield loss by cause,first-pass yield (FPY),cycle time, andthroughput; publish weekly dashboards.

  • Maintaincalibration certificates,change control records, andrisk assessments(PFMEA updates for equipment changes).

5) Safety, Compliance & Training

  • Ensure equipmentcomplies withEHS(LOTO, machine guarding, ergonomics, chemical handling for adhesives/solvents).

  • Trainoperators/technicianson safe operations, preventive checks, and basic troubleshooting; verify training effectiveness with observations andsignoffs.
