Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. Role Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Process Engineer to join our solar manufacturing team. This role involves designing, optimizing and monitoring manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our solar panel production capabilities, ensuring sustainable and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for solar panels and related components
  • Analyze workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement new production technologies
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet specifications
  • Investigate process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Develop documentation and process protocols to support quality assurance programs
  • Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of production equipment
  • Evaluate and recommend materials to improve product performance and cost effectiveness
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure material specifications are met
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Generate regular reports detailing process performance, costs and efficiency improvements
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Promote a culture of safety and sustainability within the production environment
  • Responsible for meeting departmental and company-level improvement and innovation indicator requirements within the region and fostering engineers' improvement awareness and thinking.
  • Assist supervisors in auditing production line 5S and standardization of operations.
  • Adhere to all Corning and OSHA rules and regulations at all times; and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds

Experiences/Education - Required
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, automation or related field required
  • Proficiency in electrical or mechanical maintenance skills, mechanical design, circuit design, or programming.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational and coordination abilities, team-building skills, comprehension skills, and innovation capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proven experience in equipment engineering, design, and/or maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

The range for this position is $69,791.00 - $95,963.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
