Sr. Process Engineer - Turnkey Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex turnkey processing systems, including integrated skid systems and tank solutions, for the sanitary manufacturing industries.

This role serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, driving system performance, mentoring engineers, and interfacing directly with clients.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Technical Leadership

  • Lead design of complex systems:ย 
    • Multi-skid processing lines
    • Advanced CIP/SIP and aseptic systems
  • Provide technical direction and mentor engineering team

Process Design & Execution

  • Own full project lifecycle from concept through commissioning
  • Approve PFDs, P&IDs, and engineering deliverables
  • Perform and validate advanced process calculations
  • Ensure systems meet performance, cost, and schedule targets

Client & Project Interface

  • Lead customer technical discussions
  • Support proposals, estimates, and design reviews
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments
  • Compliance & Optimization

    • Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, 3-A, ASME BPE
    • Drive standardization and cost reduction initiatives

    What You Bring

    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
    • 7+ years of experience
    • Proven experience delivering turnkey skid/tank systems
    • Deep knowledge of sanitary design, CIP/SIP systems
    • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing capabilities

    KPIs for Success

    • Successful delivery of projects (schedule, budget, performance)
    • System performance and customer satisfaction post-commissioning
    • Accuracy and quality of engineering deliverables
    • Reduction in design iterations and project rework
    • Mentorship and development of junior engineers
    • Contribution to standardization, cost reduction, and innovation

    Travel Expectations

    • 20โ€“40% travel
    • Frequent travel for:ย 
      • Client meetings and design reviews
      • FAT oversight
      • Commissioning leadership and startup
    • Occasional extended site assignments (2โ€“4 weeks during critical phases)

    Utilization Targetย 

    • 70% โ€“ 80% billable utilization
    • Lower than mid-level due to:ย 
      • Leadership responsibilities
      • Proposal and business development work
      • Mentoring and internal standards development

    Compensation

    • $115,000 โ€“ $150,000+ base salary + bonus + benefits
