Job Title: Manufacturing/Process Engineering Intern or Co-Op

Location: Anderson, SC (First Quality Tissue)

Mentor: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer's primary focus involves optimizing manufacturing processes and systems to improve production, efficiency, quality, and safety in production.

Job Responsibilities:

This position could be responsible for a broad range of activities on production assets and will work alongside the production team and maintenance teams.

  • Maintain day-to-day machine parameters to target.
  • Performance Improvement- Analyzing existing manufacturing processes and implementing modifications to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Problem Solving- Identifying and troubleshooting process upsets or changes to product quality and implementing effective solutions.
  • Technology Integration- Evaluating and incorporating new technologies to improve production efficiency and product quality including, running trials for new materials and equipment.
  • Documentation and Standards- Maintaining documentation of manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Experience / Skills:

The ideal candidate will be working toward a bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Paper Science, Packaging Science), with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
