Exciting Opportunity: PSV Process Engineer III - Drive Safety and Efficiency in Houston!
Are you a seasoned Process Engineer with a passion for safety, precision, and chemical plant excellence? We are seeking a talented PSV Process Engineer III to join a dynamic team in Downtown Houston. This pivotal role focuses on reviewing and optimizing pressure relief valve (PSV) calculations, ensuring plant safety, and supporting successful project execution. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, excel at technical problem-solving, and have a strong background in PSV analysis, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will evaluate existing relief systems, collaborate with operations and vendors, develop process simulations, and provide vital mitigation strategies. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining safe and reliable plant operations.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with PSV calculations and relief systems within a chemical plant setting.
  • Strong proficiency in process simulation software (Honeywell UniSim, HYSYS, Promax, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of API 520 and API 521 standards.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with internal teams and vendors in technical environments.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Familiarity with API 2000 and API 2510.
  • Additional experience with API 520 and 521 beyond 5 years.
