Aero Propulsion Support Group is comprised of three divisions:

  • Aero Propulsion Support, Inc. which repairs and services small gas turbine engines and components.
  • Aero Propulsion Support Distribution, LLC. which inventories and distributes small gas turbine engines and components.
  • Aero Propulsion Support Manufacturing, LLC. which prototypes OEM parts for the small gas turbine business.

Quality Manufacturing -Process Engineer Level III

Overall Summary of Job

A quality process engineer is responsible for developing, creating, documenting, and implementing Lean methodology to increase production and improve quality used to repair, process and test gas turbine engine components.

Essential Functions
  • Process development, scheduling, reading and understanding technical manuals and publications, problem solving and program management.
  • Inspection (dimensional and visual) to help work flow
  • The Engineer is also responsible for following quality systems and procedures as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, Materials , Aerospace or equivalent engineering education.
  • At least 3-5 years of directly related experience.
  • Though knowledge of PCDMS CMM software
  • Though knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD software.
  • Though knowledge of MasterCam CAM software.
  • Write and revise Engineering Plans (EP)
  • Utilize CNC machinery and Lean methodology to increase production and improve quality
  • Troubleshoot processes for rework, variance and turn- time reduction
  • Write and revise Inspection Instructions (II) in conjunction with Quality Team
  • Write and revise Process Instructions (PI)
  • Good mechanical, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor or team player.
