Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer – Oil & Gas role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader serving the oil and gas sector, known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality precision-engineered products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining operational excellence and reliability throughout every stage of their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for components and assemblies used in oil and gas applications.
· Provide hands-on technical support to production teams, troubleshooting machining, fabrication, and assembly issues.
· Improve manufacturing efficiency through lean initiatives, process standardization, and waste reduction strategies.
· Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, routers, and process documentation.
· Support new product introductions (NPI), ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and production readiness.
· Collaborate with quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
· Analyze production data to identify trends, improve cycle times, and increase throughput.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., API, ISO).
· Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and capital equipment investments to enhance production capabilities.
· Train and mentor production personnel on best practices, safety procedures, and process improvements.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
· Experience in oil and gas manufacturing environments preferred.
· Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes for high-spec industrial components.
· Familiarity with industry standards such as API and ISO quality systems.
· Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
