Senior Consumer Loan Processor Associate

You know what it takes to get a HELOC to the closing table. You've navigated title challenges, worked through complex conditions, balanced competing priorities, and found solutions when transactions seemed headed for delay. As our Senior Consumer Loan Processor Associate, you'll play a key role in our Home Equity operation, taking ownership of a diverse pipeline from application through funding. You'll use your judgment to identify risks, resolve obstacles, and keep loans moving efficiently toward closing. Working closely with underwriters, branch teams, title companies, and borrowers, you'll serve as a central partner throughout the lending process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances volume with quality, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely results and an exceptional borrower experience. You'll join a collaborative team where your contributions matter and your ideas are welcomed. Beyond managing your pipeline, you'll have opportunities to improve processes, share knowledge, and help drive the continued success of our Home Equity team. Please note: This position is in-office at our HSFCU Headquarters in Downtown Honolulu.

Base Salary Range: $24.66 - $31.05 per hour ($51,300 - $64,575 per year) The posted range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage pipeline prioritization and stakeholder communications.
  • Review and manage underwriting conditions.
  • Analyze title, insurance and collateral documentation.
  • Drive the loan from application through closing and funding.
  • Perform quality control reviews and ensure policy compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to team members.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in loan processing or equivalent related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to independently manage a pipeline.
  • Strong Title and Lien Review knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Recent HELOC Processing experience.
  • Frontline experience as a Teller or in Personal Banking.
