Job Summary

The GTS Process Manager will advise, challenge and assist cement process performance across the CRH cement plant portfolio. They will recommend operational and industrial process improvements to the Opco Plant management teams to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.

Job Location

This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the continental United States

Job Responsibilities

  • Make sure that the work delivered in process area corresponds to higher value for CRH.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Support plants in troubleshooting.
  • Analyze Plant operations and propose Process Improvement recommendations including Cost/Benefit Analysis.
  • Undertake benchmarking studies and process audits to identify both weak and successful practices.
  • Coordinate performance tests on operating plant systems to determine the efficiencies of the equipment.
  • Provide assistance to management to ensure Plants operate within environmental and quality performance regulations.
  • Prepare reports on the process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing within CRH. Keep updated on the latest technology in the process areas (raw material preparation, grinding and pyroprocessing).
  • Educate, train and develop process staff in the plants.
  • Assist project teams on process design for CAPEX projects.
  • Lead major main equipment commissioning when needed.
  • Take part in Due Diligence activities when needed.

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in cement manufacturing with experience in Cement plants and in Central/Support function.
  • Excellent understanding of cement production processes: Pyro processing & Grinding.
  • Solid background in Process Design.
  • Ability to challenge local operation teams & managers in terms of performance and productivity.
  • Have experience in cement plant commissioning role.
  • Have work experience in a foreign country.
  • Experience with process measurement tools and techniques is essential.
  • Very good understanding of clinker chemistry and mineralogy.
  • High level of knowledge and determination to support cost leadership.
  • Good overview of the vendor business world in Production/Process area.
  • Excellent English language skills.

Compensation

  • Base Salary - $150,000 - $160,000 per year
