MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Process Control Engineer II is a senior technical leader responsible for advanced control system strategy, optimization, and complex project execution across the facility at our West Monroe, LA Mill.

 JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain control systems (DCS, PLC, HMI)
  • Develop and optimize control strategies to improve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Perform diagnostics and root-cause analysis of instrumentation and electrical control systems
  • Support and maintain process control networks and associated IT/OT infrastructure
  • Lead small to mid-sized projects, including upgrades and migrations
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, IT, and external vendors
  • Manage system changes, documentation, and standards
  • Provide on-call or day-to-day support for process control systems

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-7 years of experience in process control or industrial automation
  • Strong experience with DCS and PLC systems
  • Experience supporting plant operations and executing capital or improvement projects

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • BS in Electrical, Electrical Technology, Chemical, Computer Engineering, or related field

 SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Experience with Honeywell Experion DCS configuration and graphics.
  • Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix / Studio 5000
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems
  • Experience with industrial data acquisition and historians
  • Working knowledge of OT networking (industrial Ethernet, switches, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with virtualized environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
