Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated System-in-Package (SiP) Process Engineer to aid in the development and manufacture of next-generation SiP modules integrated with microwave and mmWave subsystems across Keysight, serving multiple industries.
This position is for the night shift and requires strong autonomy in overseeing assembly operations during off-hours. The candidate must be capable of making critical decisions independently and ensuring smooth execution of processes without direct nighttime supervision.
Additional Details:
  • A shift differential will be included on top of the negotiated salary.
  • Employment in this role requires signing a conflict-of-interest agreement to ensure full compliance with company policies and avoid any external engagements that could interfere with job responsibilities.
  • In addition to independence, this role demands high productivity and accountability during night shift hours.
  • There will be regular overlap with the day shift team to maintain collaboration and avoid isolation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain package assembly processes.
  • Specify, select, and qualify new equipment for advanced packaging.
  • Contribute to process automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Absorb and understand process flows, product design, and performance requirements; lead manufacturing teams to develop new products that meet performance targets.
  • Manage accelerated project schedules and communicate risks, while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintain high yields while adhering to project timelines.
  • Independently oversee night shift assembly operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Provide clear documentation and handoff reports to day shift teams.
  • Ensure smooth execution of processes without direct nighttime supervision.

Qualifications
Required Expertise
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of applicable semiconductor manufacturing industry experience
  • Strong leadership, drive, and ambition to drive novel technologies
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills through Managerial, Team Lead or Project/Program Management roles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shift hours.
  • Demonstrated accountability and productivity in off-hour operations.

Proven experience in some or all the following areas:
  • Design for manufacturing of electromechanical assemblies.
  • Statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Lean Manufacturing.
  • High Accuracy/High Rate Thermocompression or flip-chip bonding.
  • Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes.
  • Die singulation and semiconductor fabrication processes.
  • Heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging techniques.
  • New technology and product introduction.
  • Experience managing or working autonomously during night shifts in a manufacturing or R&D environment is highly desirable.

Santa Rosa, CA Pay Range: MIN $138,960.00 - MAX $231,600.00
Plus 15% differential for night shift work and 10% for weekend work.
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region.
