About Polynt Composites USA:Polynt Composites USA is a global leader in the manufacturing of composites, coatings, and chemical intermediates, serving key industries such as industrial, transportation, construction, marine, medical, and consumer goods. ย Responsible for production of quality products through formula management, sound analytical support and analysis of new and existing products to fit plant process capabilities to meet customer expectations. ย Lead plant quality programs and assist Technology and Production teams with product conformance, optimization, and process improvement. ย Interact with customers to provide technical assistance, as well as demonstrate leadership to improve quality efforts at the plant.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure products are produced in accordance with the national formula and within specification.ย  Eliminate off-specification production and minimize adjustments through projects as a process expert on the plant team. (25%)
  • Develop personnel - Support refinement and development of reproducible and repeatable lab techniques and chemistry for Coatings & Composites resins, develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), personnel assessments and continuous improvement in safety performance. Work with Production Manager and production personnel with processing questions/issues for immediate concerns and long term education/training and corrective actions. (25%)
  • Lead ISO efforts for compliance and continuous improvement, to include quality review, internal & external audits and reporting, with authority to initiate corrective and preventive actions based on plant performance.ย  Lead efforts in complaint resolution with customers.ย  Specific to reporting, Quality Notification resolution and tracking, quality metrics and tracking improvements. (20%)
  • Cost Management - Drive optimal cycle times and support process improvement efforts. Lead rework management process. Manage a budget for lab supplies, control overtime in QC Lab, manage overage inventory and blocked stock to zero, and incorporate rework plans as part of this process. (20%)
  • Support plant safety and housekeeping program. (10%)
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing or process environment
  • Knowledge of coatings and composites process chemistry
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) methodologies
  • Understanding of ISO standards, practices, and quality management principles
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements and best practices
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and train employees
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability with strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated leader with the ability to work independently and drive results
