Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all employees understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as, state & federal laws and regulations. Ensure all employees understand their OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for scheduling employees to attend all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. Promptly investigate all accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
  • Responsible for leading internal and external ISO Audits
  • Handle Quality Issues, Warranty claims, and Corrective Action responses
  • Manage controlled documents
  • Oversee and coordinate New Equipment installations
  • Design or modify equipment/processes to support maintenance and production requirements
  • Prepare part prints for fabrication and work with outside vendors to secure bids
  • Prepare and submit CPRs along with applicable documents for capital purchases
  • Assist and/or coordinate scrap reduction initiatives
  • Collect and Analyze data to improve processes and maintain process control
  • Support and actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process and Facility Excellence (FEM)
  • Work with other foundry and engineering groups to improve processes, equipment and reduce costs

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent bachelor degree
  • Experience in design and construction methods and corresponding costs
  • Understanding of CAD/CAM use and application of foundry processes.
  • Ability to direct a cost control program (i.e. scrap analysis, process capability)
  • Good communication skills to interface with customers and suppliers
