Quality Control (QC) Manager
Project Duration: October 1, 2026 – August 31, 2028
Position Summary

The Quality Control Manager oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities for airport baggage handling system (BHS) installation projects. This position ensures installation, testing, and commissioning activities meet project specifications, manufacturer standards, and client expectations. The QC Manager will coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors during project startup to understand quality standards, inspection requirements, and testing procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the project's Quality Control Plan.
  • Coordinate initial quality training with Vanderlande representatives.
  • Ensure installations comply with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Manage inspections, testing, and documentation throughout construction.
  • Review and approve inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and quality improvements.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Work closely with project management, field supervision, and client representatives.
  • Maintain quality records required for project closeout.
  • Lead quality meetings and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of quality control experience on industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with mechanical systems, conveyors, or baggage handling systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inspection, testing, and commissioning processes.
General Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in active airport construction environments and operational facilities.
  • May require working nights, weekends, holidays, or extended hours to support airport operational requirements.
  • Must comply with all airport security requirements and successfully obtain and maintain required security clearances and badging.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around active construction operations.
  • Travel within the project site is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk extensive construction sites daily.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in active construction environments for extended periods.
