Position Summary
The Supply Chain Intern will support the procurement team in day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience in supply chain management. This role provides exposure to demand planning, inventory control, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in data analysis and daily reporting related to purchasing metrics, demand forecasts, MRP accuracy and supplier performance
• Support purchase order management, including creation, tracking, and follow-ups with vendors
• Help monitor inventory health metrics (e.g., turns, stockouts, excess/obsolete inventory)
• Participate in demand planning and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, customer service, sales) to ensure supply continuity
• Support process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain accurate data in SAP
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas; Power BI a plus)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Understanding of basic supply chain concepts (forecasting, inventory management, MRP)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
