Position Summary

The Automation Platforms Manager is responsible for the strategy, governance, operation, and continuous improvement of Enterprise Automation platforms and capabilities across the organization. This role serves as the platform owner for SS&C Blue Prism, SAP BTP Automation, and Microsoft Power Automate, ensuring automation services are secure, reliable, scalable, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business priorities. The Automation Platforms Manager partners closely with Product Teams, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Managed Service Providers, and Business Stakeholders to deliver automation capabilities that improve business efficiency, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

The role is accountable for platform health, service delivery, supplier performance, operational governance, roadmap execution, adoption, and continuous improvement of enterprise automation capabilities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative technology leader with experience in platform management, automation technologies, IT Service Management, operational governance, and vendor management who champions ITIL best practices while driving automation maturity across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Own strategy, roadmap, governance, and lifecycle management for platforms including SS&C Blue Prism, SAP BTP Automation, and Microsoft Power Automate.

  • Serve as the enterprise owner for automation capabilities including RPA, workflow automation, business process automation, and low-code automation.

  • Establish platform standards, governance models, development practices, and operational guardrails.

  • Drive adoption and value realization of automation solutions across business functions and product teams.

  • Own platform availability, reliability, performance, security, and overall operational health.

  • Establish service metrics, operational reporting, platform performance dashboards, and automation value tracking.

  • Ensure operational readiness, supportability, and sustainment of new automation capabilities entering production.

  • Champion ITIL practices including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Level Management.

  • Own the operational support model for automation platforms in partnership with internal support teams, managed service providers, and strategic suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with Architecture, Security, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, and Product Teams to ensure automation solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned to enterprise standards.

  • Manage platform budgets, licensing, contracts, and vendor relationships.

  • Serve as the primary platform liaison for enterprise automation stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvement and operational maturity across the automation platform portfolio.

Domain Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 8-10+ years of experience in automation, platform management, IT operations, service management, or related technology functions.

  • Experience leading enterprise automation, platform support, or service delivery functions in complex environments.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL Service Management disciplines; ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

  • Experience with enterprise automation platforms including SS&C Blue Prism, SAP BTP Automation, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar technologies.

  • Experience managing managed service providers and outsourced support teams.

  • Strong knowledge of incident, problem, change, release, and service level management processes.

  • Experience developing platform roadmaps, operational dashboards, service metrics, and executive reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to balance operational excellence, innovation, risk management, governance, and financial stewardship.

The salary range for this role is:

$113,500.00 - $177,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
