GENERAL FUNCTION:
Support role for transformation process improvement initiatives which support the Bank's strategic focus areas. Fosters strong partnership and collaboration with all line of business teams along with internal partners to achieve desired outcomes. Leverages Lean Six Sigma and business acumen to execute using a consistent, data-driven approach. This role will oversee the successful execution of one or many simultaneous strategic initiatives.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ongoing Coordination of Training:

  • Works closely with the Director, Process Optimization to understand the Lean Process Automation strategy and to develop and support all learning needs.
  • Directly responsible for ongoing enrollment management of training including identification of individuals to be enrolled, enrollment of individuals into the appropriate training programs, and proactively maintaining the backlog of individuals to be enrolled in training programs.
  • Partners with team leads, key leaders and stakeholders in LOBs, training vendors, and Learning & Development.
  • Maintain visibility, transparency, and regular communications regarding training availability, enrollment, completion, and any related information.
  • Manage and investigate issues related to training and training management processes, troubleshoot situations and provide resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain information on partnered training vendor portals as needed.
  • Coordinate with Human Capital Shared Services team as needed to maintain accurate information in Fifth Third Learning Management System (LMS) as needed.
  • Manage and monitor purchase orders and invoicing related to training vendors, as needed
  • Manage list of certified Black and Green Belts
  • Update Landing page to reflect current training related information, as needed
  • Plan and execute regular graduation / celebration events for those who complete training
  • Remove obstacles and demonstrate a bias for action.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent and complex priorities.
  • Establish and continually improve processes and operating rhythms of training coordination and advisement.
  • Provide recommendations and perspectives on new and existing processes that help to strengthen training and create sustainability.
  • Provide seamless and client-focused support to employees, partners and managers.

Ongoing Support for Senior Process Optimization Advisor

  • Partners with Senior Process Optimization Advisor on defining projects for students to complete as part of Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Provides coaching and support to students in the Lean Six Sigma certification program to ensure understanding and application of the content.
  • Monitors students' progress on all learning needs. Works closely with students to stay on track and supports removal of barriers as necessary.
  • Oversees development and upkeep of content of supplemental tools training to support Lean Process Automation.
  • Leads instruction of supplemental tools training in conjunction with the Lean Six Sigma certification program. Integrates hands-on experience into learning to ensure application.
  • Support training by facilitating simulations, running meetings, and delivering basic information to participants in a meeting or classroom setting as needed
  • Set program participants performance expectations and partner with key stakeholders to hold them accountable.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrate ability to execute an ongoing, detail-oriented training enrollment process.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills to be effective with multiple client groups at all levels.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft desktop applications.
  • Must be comfortable with technology including SharePoint, Teams, learning management systems.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience leading process improvement efforts.
  • Must be Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certified and willing to audit Fifth Third specific training within the first 6 months.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Lean tools/methods.
  • Knowledge of process mapping, process modeling, process mining, task mining, data visualization, and data analytics tools
  • Understanding of the Banking Industry, its financial components, and the issues facing it.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, able to motivate people. Highly collaborative.
  • Possesses the conceptual/analytical skills, global perspective, understanding of the risk, regulatory and competitive aspects of the global banking and financial services industry is required.
  • Possesses a reputation of having high ethical standards.
  • Strong commitment to growing and developing the community of practice including training, coaching and mentoring.
