We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.

The Process Technician provides support for Operations during a rotation of shifts. The Process Technician is responsible for routinely monitoring production activities to ensure safety and compliance, monitoring quality control (QC) testing and documentation, troubleshooting process and quality issues, sample management and other duties. All duties must be performed while driving a culture of Safety and ensuring SHE standards are met. The person entering this role would be on a track to promotion to a supervisor role within 2-3 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and ensure compliance with Safety procedures and practices

• Follow and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and follow/apply guidelines of Manufacturing Excellence

• Proactively manage quality on shift to minimize scrap and rework

• Review and update quality control testing and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Evaluate statistical process controls for outliers or trends

• Ensure deviations from specifications are managed appropriately

• Perform problem solving activities including root cause analysis, the development of corrective actions/preventative actions and effectiveness checks

• Prepare customer samples

• Use Lean Six Sigma methods (5S, Kaizen) and tools to manage the business and improve performance related to KPI (Key Performance Indicator) targets

• Perform Safety and compliance audits

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Production

• Provide quality expertise to production supervisors, acting as SME to process and quality related issues on shift

• Supplement production team with leadership/functional support where needed

• Other duties as assigned


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team, and independently, in a high-performance work environment

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP)

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)

• Knowledge of rolled goods, printing and/or continue process manufacturing.

• Knowledge of supply chain management including storage of raw materials, work in process inventory and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption.

• APICS Certification in production and inventory management (CPIM or CFPIM) or supply chain professional (CSCP)Supervisory / leadership experience a plus.


Education and Experience:

• Five years’ experience in a manufacturing or quality setting

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred


Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of rolled goods, printing and/or continue process manufacturing.

• Knowledge of supply chain management including storage of raw materials, work in process inventory and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly stand, walk and reach with hands and arms

• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
