Job description

Tide Health New England is hiring a Regional Director of Nursing Services to support our skilled nursing facility operations in southern Worcester County and the MetroWest region!

This is a full-time salaried position up to $175,000 with a $10,000 sign-on bonus!* Candidate must be willing to travel between assigned facilities.

The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for various clinical duties to ensure ongoing regulatory and standards compliance at assigned facilities, resulting in resident care needs being identified and carried out appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Must possess an active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts.

  • Prior experience as a Director of Nursing Services in a skilled nursing facility required.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to long-term care operations.

  • Regional experience is preferred.

  • Experience working with SUDS and behavioral populations is preferred.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.

  • Must possess reliable and insured transportation and a valid driver's license.

Duties

  • Works with assigned facilities to ensure they are meeting regulatory requirements and company standards of practice.

  • Serve as a resource to facility staff on best clinical practices.

  • Conduct ongoing audits to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies and procedures to ensure residents' care needs are met.

  • Participate in the mock survey and annual survey process.

  • Assist in the hiring and training of new Directors of Nursing and other nursing leadership positions.

  • Maintain direct oversight of all aspects of resident care to assess and ensure quality outcomes.

  • Monitor adherence to restorative nursing techniques, infection control protocols, and medication management practices.

  • Act as a clinical resource and consultant for nursing staff on complex or high-acuity cases.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal standards.

  • Assist facility management in the areas of developing comprehensive plans of correction and education.

  • Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of policies and procedures.

  • Review quality indicators and the quality assurance performance program.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer.
