Human Resources Assistant:
Are you a detail-oriented, self-motivated student who takes pride in helping others? Are you looking for a part-time opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources while making a meaningful impact? If so, we invite you to join our team at the University of Utah as a Human Resources Assistant!
In this role, you will support the Human Resources team with onboarding processes, including Form I-9 compliance, as well as general administrative and file maintenance tasks. Your attention to detail and ability to take initiative will play an important role in supporting a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new employees.
Responsibilities
Human Resources Assistant Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support onboarding processes, including coordination and completion of Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification)
  • Review and process updates to employee records in HR systems
  • Assist with organizing, auditing, and cleaning up employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Respond to incoming email requests and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with a high level of integrity
  • Support scheduling and coordination of appointments
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including correspondence and data entry
  • Participate in special projects within the Human Resources department as needed
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
