Process Technician (Mechanical / Equipment Maintenance)
Job Title: Process Technician
Location: Conyers, Ga
Pay: $21.00
Shift: Nights
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Process Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience. This role is ideal for someone with an automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, industrial maintenance, or equipment repair background. The Process Technician will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with tools, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping equipment running at peak performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs.
  • Replace and repair motors, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves, hoses, and other mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Perform machine setup and changeovers as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with production personnel to maintain efficient operations.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, industrial maintenance technician, equipment technician, or similar mechanical role preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
