Job description

Paraprofessional needed at Walker County BOE - GA

School Location: Cherokee Ridge Elementary | Chickamauga, GA

Dates: ASAP - May 21st. 2027

Hours: full-time (37.5 hours /week)

Caseload: position will be within their self-contained resource classrooms; "The SpEd para applicant will need to be comfortable working with students with a variety of special education needs, including assisting with toileting. Experience in special education or ABA would be extremely helpful, but most importantly, we are looking for someone who is patient and comfortable supporting these students. "

Pay Rate: $20-$24 (bill rate depends on previous school experience as a para or work with peds population and if they already have the teaching credential in hand)

Requirements: Active GaPSC Paraprofessional Educator Certificate; IF candidate does not have this, they will need to AT LEAST either have an Associates degree or have already taken the Para GACE exam
