Work Environment

This position is designed to be remote, allowing flexibility while fostering a collaborative work culture. Our hospice center emphasizes compassionate end-of-life care, providing you with a unique opportunity to support clients in their recovery journeys, particularly those facing terminal diagnoses or complex emotional grief related to loss.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments through virtual sessions to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories, mental health conditions, and specific treatment needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate both addiction recovery and mental health support, ensuring that each plan is adaptable to the client's evolving needs.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), tailored to the client's unique circumstances.
• Maintain collaborative communication with multidisciplinary team members to reinforce integrated care approaches, actively participating in case discussions and treatment planning.
• Educate and involve clients' families in the recovery process, providing them with tools and knowledge to support their loved ones effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards by maintaining accurate, secure records of client interactions and treatment progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role targets a clientele struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will deliver services tailored to individuals at various stages of recovery, including those in crisis or nearing the end of life due to addiction-related complications. Your ability to build rapport and empathy will significantly contribute to instilling hope and encouraging long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
• Educational background should include a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work (MSW or DSW).
• Experience or special training in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment methodologies.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for addressing both substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills, able to build a trusting relationship with clients and motivate them throughout their recovery journey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a remote setting with a strong emphasis on substance abuse treatment.
• Knowledge of hospice care principles, particularly in how they relate to mental health and substance abuse.
• Previous engagement with diverse populations will be advantageous to resonate with our varied clientele.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and professional qualifications.
