Job Description:
Production Maintenance Coordinator
Huntsman is seeking a Production Maintenance Coordinator supporting the Division Name Division located in McIntosh, Alabama. This position will report to the Production Manager.
Job Scope
Direct the maintenance and repair of equipment and services required to provide the least possible downtime to equipment in Area-19. This role coordinates maintenance activities, supports production operations, and ensures work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with site and business priorities.
In summary, as the Production Maintenance Coordinator, you will:
  • Prioritize and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for equipment in Area-19.
  • Inspect maintenance work to ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and workmanship standards.
  • Promote Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and ensure the safe execution of work processes.
  • Support capital projects and 5-S initiatives.
  • Serve as Day Shift Supervisor, as needed.
  • Support safe work permitting processes and ensure efficient workflow execution.
  • Champion the Work Management Process for Production.
  • Represent Production during Maintenance Weekly Scheduling Meetings.
  • Monitor planning, scheduling, and field execution of maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate production readiness for maintenance work execution, including communication, permits, and scheduling requirements.
  • Track and report maintenance and production performance metrics.
  • Oversee production-related contractors and support annual outage planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance inspections required by PSM and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate scheduling priorities from Production, Maintenance, and Project teams.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in Process Technology.
  • 3+ years of related production or maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
  • In lieu of the Associate's Degree, a minimum of five years of production or maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing facility may be considered.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency with Internet, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good understanding of machinery and basic engineering principles.
  • Strong supervisory, management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with individuals encountered during the course of employment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing instructions and organizational priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Certification.
  • Six Sigma Certification.
  • Incident Command Certification.

Working Environment
  • Chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Regular interaction with Production, Maintenance, Project teams, and contractors.
  • May serve as Day Shift Supervisor as business needs require.
  • Participation in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives and compliance with site safety requirements is required.
